Help us create a safer workplace, every single day.
At AluK, we manufacture innovative aluminium window, door and façade systems used in homes and commercial buildings across the UK and beyond. Behind every product is a team committed to quality, innovation and, above all, safety.
We're looking for a proactive and engaging HSE Advisor to join our QHSE Team and help us continue developing a positive health, safety and environmental culture across our manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be highly visible across the site, working closely with managers, supervisors and employees to ensure safe working practices are embedded into everyday operations. You'll provide practical advice, support compliance, investigate incidents and help drive continuous improvement across all areas of Health, Safety and Environmental performance.
Whether you're carrying out site inspections, delivering training or supporting managers with risk assessments, you'll play a key role in ensuring everyone goes home safe every day.
What you'll be doing
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Support compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation and company standards.
- Assist with the development, implementation and review of HSE policies and procedures.
- Support the maintenance of legal compliance registers and statutory requirements.
- Provide practical guidance to managers and employees on day-to-day HSE matters.
- Promote a positive, proactive and engaged safety culture across the business.
Risk Management
- Support the completion and review of risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
- Assist operational teams in identifying hazards and implementing effective control measures.
- Support permit-to-work processes and other high-risk activities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend improvements where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
