Health Safety Environment Advisor
Contract HSE Advisor – Reading – 3 days a week
£45 per hour (outside IR35) + 3 days per week on site + immediate start + min 6-12month contract (rolling)
A successful organisation is looking to engage with an HSE Advisor for 3 days a week for min 6-12months with a July start. This will suit a professional who currently works with other clients on an H&S contract basis and is happy to commit to 3 days a week to one client for the long-term.
Contract HSE Advisor remit:
- Develop and implement an H&S management system from scratch
- Provide H&S advice & risk/compliance solutions within business office environment
- Perform audits on policies, procedures and company processes, to ensure safe systems of work, delivering reports within SLA timeframes
- Undertake accident and incident Investigations
- Identify EHS risks and advise on mitigation strategies to reduce risk/exposure
- Assist in continually improving H&S standards within the workplace

Contract HSE Advisor profile:
- BSc (Hons), NVQ4 or MSc (Hons) in Health & Safety Management or similar
- CMIOSH or working towards or GradIOSH membership
- Demonstrable experience developing and implementing an H&S management system from scratch
- Experience dealing with health & safety / risk compliance solutions across commercial, Nuclear, Aviation or similar business environments
- Lead auditor training in Health & Safety Management; DSE Assessor
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate
- Excellent report, presentation & communication skills
- Demonstrates the ability to manage own time effectively
- Strong relationship building skills / proficient in MS Office applications
