Dagenham | Up to £60,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits

Loom Talent is delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's leading logistics providers to recruit an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager.

Our client is a recognised leader in UK logistics, delivering high-quality distribution services to major FMCG brands. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities Management across four warehouse operations in the Dagenham area, playing a key role in driving a positive safety culture and ensuring operational compliance.

The Opportunity

As HSE Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental strategies across multiple sites. Working closely with operational leadership, you will champion best practice, ensure legislative compliance and create a safe, open and proactive working environment for colleagues, customers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong Health & Safety culture across four warehouse locations.
  • Conduct and manage Health & Safety audits, ensuring all documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate customer, internal and BRC audits, ensuring compliance with required standards.
  • Chair and contribute to monthly Health & Safety meetings, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and behavioural safety conversations.
  • Complete risk assessments, including COSHH assessments, and implement effective control measures.
  • Act as Fire Marshal and Racking Inspector, ensuring emergency procedures are maintained and colleagues receive appropriate training.
  • Manage contractor permits to work and ensure contractor compliance on site.
  • Support the General Manager in maintaining full site Health & Safety compliance.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis, risk management and best practice implementation.
  • Maintain third-party quality agreements to ensure the integrity and continuity of critical equipment and services.
  • Manage facilities-related contractors and service providers across the sites.
  • Build effective relationships with on-site tenants, providing support on Health & Safety compliance and property-related matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
