Health & Safety Manager
This Health & Safety Manager role provides the opportunity to join a leading heavy manufacturing business and play a key role in driving safety excellence within a high-risk operational environment. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £65K, company pension scheme, private healthcare benefits, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package.
As a Health & Safety Manager, you will take ownership of standards, compliance, and assurance, working closely with operational leaders to strengthen risk management, improve performance, and embed a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of H&S professionals to deliver effective assurance and compliance.
- Drive consistent standards and ensure alignment with legal and company requirements.
- Manage and improve H&S management systems, processes, and governance.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews to identify risks and implement improvements.
- Analyse performance data to identify trends and reduce operational risk.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with operational teams to strengthen controls around critical risks.
- Promote a proactive culture through strong leadership and engagement.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates should hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate (NEBOSH Diploma preferred) and have experience within H&S management, auditing, compliance frameworks, and improvement programmes. Strong leadership skills, the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, and experience operating within a high-risk manufacturing environment are essential.
