The Opportunity
Holcim is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Compliance Manager to join the team at Torr Works Quarry.
This permanent, site-based role involves collaborating with operational leaders to:
- Promote a positive safety culture
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in sustainability and workplace safety
Ideal for an experienced Health & Safety professional who thrives at the intersection of strategic planning and operational delivery. The role allows you to:
- Influence long-term improvement projects
- Guide site teams in compliance and risk management
- Develop procedures and training programmes
- Conduct audits, investigations, and inspections
This position offers meaningful impact across multiple functions.
Responsibilities
Key Duties
- Support and implement SHE strategies, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Provide specialist SHE guidance to operational teams, ensuring compliance with:
- Legislation
- Company standards
- Integrated management systems
- Lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring thorough follow-up
- Develop SHE procedures, guidelines, and training programs in collaboration with operational teams
- Engage internal stakeholders, contractors, enforcement agencies, and local communities to foster positive communication and engagement

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Deep understanding of current Health & Safety legislation in industrial/operational settings
- Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly and collaboratively
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships at all organisational levels
- Excellent organisational skills, managing multiple priorities while ensuring precision and compliance
- Experience in supporting audits, investigations, and continuous improvement activities
- Proactive approach to process and workplace culture enhancement
