Location: Aspect House
Salary: £34,040 to £42,550

The Health & Safety Support Coordinator role supports the wider team—including H&S Consultants, Seniors, and Advisors—who provide professional advice to guide multiple Project Teams in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient multi-million-pound energy construction projects. This role is central to ensuring smooth client interface activities, proactive performance monitoring, review, and reporting.
Within SPT Projects Health and Safety Team, the position ensures seamless integration of departmental and Group health and safety policies, programs, and processes—focusing on operational excellence, legal compliance, and safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Administration
- Create, maintain, and continually develop H&S databases, including Power BI.
- Actively contribute to and deliver Health and Safety initiative projects and agreed deliverables.
- Prepare and disseminate monthly reports, including data collection and analysis.
- Develop SWOT Benchmarking opportunities for best-practice exchanges across the business, including regular workshops and stakeholder engagement.
- Assist in promoting, developing, and reviewing health and safety projects aligned with company policy and strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Proactively influence and engage internal and external stakeholders to improve health and safety performance.
- Prepare and deliver Contractor reports and business-wide communications related to incidents and investigations.
- Organise meetings, working groups, and minute taking; action tracking for decision-making support.

Site Proactivity & Performance Tracking
- Proactively attend site locations, shadowing H&S Consultants and Advisors for potential skills development.
- Work to establish reliable Health and Safety KPIs supporting governance and assurance.
- Benchmark internally and externally to enhance SPT H&S performance, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
Tracking & Administration
- Manage H&S project trackers, ensuring information accuracy and up-to-date delivery.
- Monitor progress and achievements to meet health and safety inspection, incident, and compliance targets.
Essential Requirements
- Strong IT, coordination, organisational, and admin skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage priorities independently, and interpret data effectively.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with digital dashboards, including Power BI, PowerAutomate, and SafetyCulture.
