Health & Safety Trainee

Health and Safety Trainee– Join Our Fast-Growing Food Manufacturing Team

About Us

We are a family-owned, global leader in the food industry, committed to producing high-quality meat products from sustainable sources for some of the UK’s biggest supermarkets and food service providers. Our passion for quality, innovation, and safety drives our rapid growth, and we’re looking for ambitious individuals to join our team and help shape the future of food manufacturing.

About The Role

As a Health and Safety Trainee, you will embark on a structured learning journey within our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of health and safety, supported by dedicated mentors and bespoke development opportunities. This role is your gateway to a rewarding career in occupational health and safety. The objective of the traineeship is to develop the incumbent to become a H&S Officer.

What We Offer

  • Bespoke management development and on-the-job training
  • Fast track career progression and the potential to rotate to different business areas

Gaining a Level 3 Health and Safety Apprenticeship Qualification

As part of your apprenticeship, you will work towards achieving a Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician qualification, which is equivalent to A-Levels. This nationally recognised qualification will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to advise on statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements, conduct risk assessments, support incident investigations, and deliver health and safety training. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to join the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at TechIOSH level and further your career in health and safety.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
