Pay Range
- Inside London: £31,000 - £40,000
- London Region: £29,500 - £38,000
Working Hours/Pattern
Full-time, although we would be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work on a part-time basis. If you would like to explore this further please discuss this with the talent partner for this role. Please note our ability to accommodate flexible working arrangements will vary from role to role, dependent on business requirements.

Who we are
Reed Wellbeing is a public services provider that aims to support people in making sustainable lifestyle changes to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Since 2015, we have been delivering a range of evidence-based, person-centred interventions and services, including:
- NHS Health Checks
- Smoking Cessation
- Weight Management
- Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Treatment
Our One You Kensington, Chelsea, and Westminster service helps its local residents live healthier lives and reduce their chances of developing serious illnesses. Our support includes guidance on moving more, being tobacco free, eating well, drinking less, and losing weight.
What is the role about?
As a Health & Wellbeing Coach Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering and managing community-based lifestyle and wellbeing services. This role is multi-disciplinary and involves leading one or more specialist service streams (such as weight management or smoking cessation), line managing a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches, and directly delivering behavioural change interventions. The volume of each responsibility will vary according to business needs.
Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Taking Ownership
- Line managing a small team of Health & Wellbeing coaches to deliver high quality lifestyle and wellbeing services.
- Conducting team meetings, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Monitoring performance, trends, and best practice to identify areas of improvement for designated service.

Working Together
- Liaising with other internal stakeholders such as the Programme Support team and Health & Wellbeing Managers to ensure efficient coordination of team resources.
- Meeting with stakeholders and attending local events to build and strengthen referral pathways.
Being Fair, Open and Honest
- Delivering engaging 1:2:1 or group-based health and wellbeing interventions to a caseload of participants either in a face-to-face, remote, or digital setting.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
- At least 12 months of recent experience of managing teams within a customer-focused, target-orientated environment.
- Experience of promoting/marketing public services to stakeholder/referral partners.
- Demonstrable experience of developing productive external stakeholder relationships.
- High level of personal organisation and time management skills.
- Experience of delivering services within a quality assurance and governance framework.
- Ability to establish an effective and appropriate rapport with programme participants who need to achieve and maintain lifestyle changes (e.g., healthy weight, increased physical activity, reduction in alcohol intake).
- Willingness and flexibility to travel in order to deliver programmes across designated region, as well as living within London.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge and understanding of the service stream(s) they will lead on e.g., diabetes prevention, weight management, smoking cessation, physical inactivity etc.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related subject (e.g., health improvement, promotion, public health, nutrition etc); and/or A professional qualification & registration relevant to the service stream. For example for Adult Weight Management, this would be:
- a Degree in dietetics; or a Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in dietetics); and
- Registration with BDA or equivalent.
- Experience of delivering group-based services/programmes.
- Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include: Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian, and Greek (dependent on location of service delivery).
