Your Day in the Life of a Healthcare Assistant

As a Healthcare Assistant at HealthHarmonie, you will play a vital role in supporting our services and ensuring a high-quality patient experience across our clinics.

  • You will work closely with clinicians and administrative teams, ensuring all patient records and data are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • In addition, you will enhance the patient journey by delivering a welcoming and professional experience, carrying out GDPR and relevant health and safety checks, and supporting the smooth running of clinic operations.
  • You will assist with appointment coordination and ensure all clinical areas meet strict infection control standards to provide a safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Your contribution will be essential in delivering an efficient, compassionate, and patient-focused service.

Please note our service operates seven days a week. This role is specifically for weekend working, with shifts typically scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays between 07:00/07:30 and 17:30/18:00.

Location

Edgbaston, Birmingham

This is a mobile role based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. While your primary clinic location will be within the Birmingham area, occasional travel to nearby clinic sites may be required to support service delivery.

Requirements

  • Must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when capturing and handling patient data
  • Confident using IT systems and digital platforms
  • Previous healthcare or administrative experience is desirable but not essential
  • A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and taking pride in your work

You will be enrolled on our comprehensive training programme from day one, which will equip you with the knowledge and technical skills required for the role.

The Role Details

  • Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 16 hours per week (including travel time)
  • Working Pattern: Weekend only (Saturday and Sunday)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary pro rata, based on a full-time equivalent salary of £27,144
  • Opportunity to increase earnings pro rata up to a full-time equivalent of £28,641 upon completion of additional competencies
  • Travel allowance: 55p per mile
  • Ongoing support and training with opportunities to progress to NVQ Level 3
  • Excellent career progression opportunities
  • Quarterly bonus paid on a pro rata basis
  • Annual leave entitlement paid on a pro rata basis, equivalent to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays for full-time employees
