About the Clinic
Middlewood Clinic is a specialist private mental health facility based in Little Ashfield, Midhurst, West Sussex (GU29 9JP). Our dedicated multidisciplinary team provides intensive, recovery-focused care for individuals struggling with:
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Atypical Eating Disorders
With a holistic approach, we combine psychological treatment, nutrition support, and personalised recovery planning to help our patients restore a healthy relationship with food, regain a safe body weight, and wholistically address underlying psychological challenges.
The Environment
Our facility includes:
- 12 comfortable, ensuite bedrooms
- A range of communal spaces, including:
- Light, airy dining room
- Lounge areas
- Activities and therapy room
- Therapy kitchen
- Visitors’ room
- Beautiful, cottage-style garden
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Middlewood Clinic comprises:
- Registered Manager
- Consultant Psychiatrist
- Trained Healthcare Assistants
- Psychologists
- Dietitians
- Occupational Therapists
- Social Workers

Your Core Responsibilities
You’ll be part of a dedicated team leading patients through some of the most critical moments of their recovery process:
- Performing ward rounds alongside nurses to assess patient status and adapt care accordingly
- Observing and analysing behaviours, noting patterns and collaborating with the team to inform tailored recovery adjustments
- Maintaining precise, documentation-friendly patient records, documenting care delivery, progress and challenges
- Providing comprehensive care and support, including:
- Assisting with hygiene (bathing, showering, dressing)
- Encouraging structured mealtimes and nutrition – critical in eating disorder recovery
- Supporting with emotional regulation techniques, through sympathetic listening and facilitating calming strategies
- Facilitating engagement with therapeutic activities, maintaining a safe, non-judgemental environment to the hospitality offer is intent, helping their patients stay present and resilient
- Joining regular team meetings and training to enhance your skillset, including nutrition support, safeguarding, and behaviour monitoring
- Upholding clinical standards of confidentiality, respect, and ethical practice in all interactions.

Your Salary & Financial Benefits: £25,760 base + £1,200 location allowance = £26,960

Location & Hours
Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9JP – a 10-minute drive from the A285 and less than 30 minutes from Petersfield Station.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shift pattern: 12.5 hours per day, including nights and weekends across 3 to 4 shifts per week.
