Job title: Senior Healthcare Assistant

Outpatients Department

Salary

Band 2/3 £25,272 - £27,476 per annum, pro rata if part time

  • If you do not have an NHS care certificate you would start at a band 2 and be supported within the first 6 months to achieve this at which time you will move to band 3

Hours

Full/part time hours available, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Job Overview

Working in our busy outpatient department you will provide support to all our clinics including general observations, ECG’s, assisting with procedures and phlebotomy. You will also ensure the smooth operation of our clinics whilst providing a first class service to our patients.

Role Description

Under the supervision of Registered staff, the role of the Senior Healthcare Assistant is to undertake delegated clinical care duties, assist the nursing team and support Healthcare Assistants in the delivery of safe effective care to the patient.

Our services also include neonatology, specialist surgical care, and a wide range of diagnostics, supported by the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Whitehouse Health Centre. We have just opened the Oak Wards - a new ward block featuring two 24-bed wards.

Further investment is underway, including the recently approved Women and Children’s Centre, set to open by 2030.
