Healthcare Assistant – Worthing & Surrounding Areas

Location & Contract

  • Area: Worthing, Lancing, Goring-by-Sea, Ferring, Littlehampton, Rustington, Angmering and surrounding areas
  • Pay: £12.71–£16.00 per hour
  • Hours: Full / part-time (minimum 24 hours per week)
  • Shifts: 12-hour days & nights available

About the Role

Are you passionate about personalised care? We’re looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants to provide one-on-one support to clients with complex care needs in their own homes.

No prior care experience? No problem. We offer full in-house clinical training, alongside ongoing support from experienced nursing professionals.


What You’ll Do

  • Deliver person-centred care in clients’ homes
  • Assist with daily personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Support mobility, transfers and positioning
  • Administer medication (with training provided)
  • Monitor and record health and wellbeing changes
  • Help with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration
  • Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment
  • Collaborate with families, nurses and healthcare professionals

No Experience? No Problem!

We train all new recruits—no prior healthcare experience necessary. Key skills we need: ✔ A caring, empathetic approach ✔ Strong communication and people skills ✔ Willingness to learn and develop clinical skills ✔ Reliability, professionality and a positive attitude ✔ Flexibility for 12-hour shifts (days, nights & weekends)


Requirements

✅ Essential

  • A caring nature
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enthusiasm to complete enhanced DBS checks

🔍 Desirable

  • Previous experience in care, support, healthcare or customer service
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle

Take Home Pay

  • 36-hour weeks: £500–£555 per week
  • Annual salary: £26,200–£28,950 (~target estimate, including holiday pay)
