Healthcare Assistant

Health Care Assistant | Abergele Clinic | 22.5 hours per week | Permanent | Free Parking & Excellent Benefits | 

Spire Abergele are looking for a Healthcare assistant to join the team on a part time basis. We are looking for someone with experience in an outpatient/clinic/GP Practice or similar background. Spire Abergele Clinic provides outpatient and day case treatments by a team of dedicated consultants and healthcare professionals. 

Clinic Opening hours -  shifts will range between these times. 

  • Monday - Friday 0800-20:00
  • Saturday 0800-1430
  • Sunday - Closed

The responsibilities of this role will include: 

  • Assisting the team across outpatients and theatres in the provision of exemplary patient care
  • Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients
  • Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person
  • Assisting with the movement of patients in line with clinic policies

The Ideal candidate will have: 

  • Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinic or hospital environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in : ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations 
  • Good team work ethic
  • Enthusiastic and energetic professional
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care /Care Certificate / NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential
