Healthcare Assistant
Health Care Support Worker – Band 3
An exciting opportunity has come up for the Adult Community Nursing Service
About the Role
We are looking for a committed, compassionate, and motivated Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join the Adult Community Nursing Service in Hounslow, based at the Bedfont Clinic, Imperial Road. This role offers a strong sense of purpose and the chance to make a real difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out clinical duties and assist with:
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure, pulse, and temperature recording
- Urinalysis
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Simple wound dressings
- Continence reviews (Following training, competence assessment, and guidance from an identified mentor.)
- Perform delegated duties under supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring timely reporting of any changes in a patient’s condition.
- Liaise with multi-agency healthcare workers to provide holistic, multidisciplinary care.
- Communicate effectively with patients at an appropriate level to foster positive health outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a healthcare support worker in the UK.
- Full and valid UK driving license.
- Willingness to abide by the NHS Constitution and the principles of whistleblowing.
- Ability to provide high-standard patient-focused care with:
- Empathy and patience toward patients and their families.
- Teamwork skills and strong desire for personal development.
- Comfortable working within a wired and wireless environment.
Role Details
- Location: Bedfont Clinic, Imperial Road, Hounslow (Hounslow area)
- Hours: 08:30–16:30 daily, Monday to Friday (No weekend commitments)
- Workdays: Monday to Friday
- Operational Hours: Workfacility runs from 0700 to 1900, but staff work a fixed window.
