About The Role
The Hampshire Clinic, part of Circle Health Group (Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare), is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for an Outpatients bank role.
Location & Type
- Employer: The Hampshire Clinic (operating under Circle Health Group)
- Type: Bank shifts – "as and when required" supplementing staffing during busy periods or covering annual leave/absences.
- Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour (varies based on experience, training, and qualifications).
Key Responsibilities
Assist and support patients with the following key tasks:

Personal care:
- Help with personal hygiene, including washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility (respecting patient preferences and dignity).
- Provide hydration and nutritional support, documenting intake as needed.

Compassionate support:
- Offer emotional support to patients and relatives while maintaining a caring and safe environment.

Clinical procedures:
- Conduct routine patient observations, such as:
- Blood pressure
- Pulse
- Respiratory rate
- Temperature
- Oxygen saturation
- Blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
- Support basic wound care (setup, catheter care), pressure area prevention, and mobility aid assistance.

Departmental setup:
- Prepare and disinfect clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and medical equipment, ensuring readiness for patient use.

Person Specification & Requirements
Applicants should ideally meet the following criteria:

Relevant experience:
- Previous role in care or health support, such as hospitals, care homes, community teams, or domiciliary care.

Communication skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.

Attention to detail:
- Ability to follow clear instructions and escalate concerns appropriately when issues arise.

Basic competencies:
- Proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and IT skills (essential for accurate recording).

Physical capabilities:
- Physically capable of undertaking moving and handling tasks (must adhere to safe medical lifting practices).

Qualifications (desirable):
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification preferred, though not universally mandatory).
