The Park Hospital in Nottingham offers a full-time, permanent role for a Healthcare Assistant in the Outpatients department, part of Circle Health Group.
- Hours: 37.5 per week
- Salary: £24,947.00 per year
- Flexible shift pattern required
About the Role
The Park Hospital, part of Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare—is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their dedicated Outpatients team.
Responsibilities
The role involves supporting patients with:
- Personal hygiene: Washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility, respecting dignity and preferences.
- Nutritional support: Assisting with eating, drinking, and accurately documenting intake.
- Emotional care: Providing comfort and reassurance to patients and relatives.
- Clinical observations: Carrying out and accurately recording routine tasks such as:
- Blood pressure
- Pulse
- Respiratory rate
- Temperature
- Oxygen saturation
- Blood glucose levels (after training)
- Procedure assistance:
- Wound care setup
- Catheter care
- Pressure area prevention
- Mobility aids training
- Environmental readiness: Preparing and maintaining clinical areas, trolleys, beds, and equipment.
- Team collaboration: Supporting nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams for seamless patient care.

Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary setting).
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Physical capability to undertake moving and handling tasks.
- Desirable but not mandatory:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.
