Rudham Ward is recruiting a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. We offer both full-time and part-time hours for successful candidates. The successful candidate will be paid at a Band 2 if new to healthcare until training and competencies are achieved.
About the Role
We are looking for a forward-thinking, dedicated Healthcare Assistant working under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. You will support and assist in delivering high-quality, safe, dignified, and compassionate health care.
This role requires you to practice and adopt the National 6 C’s: Care, Compassion, Communication, Commitment, Competence, and Courage. These professional values and behaviors are committed to always delivering excellent care, with each value being equally important. They focus on putting the person being cared for at the heart of the care they receive.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly carry out the instructions of the registered nursing team, reporting any patient that gives cause for concern.
- Provide family-centered care during the families' time on Rudham Ward.
- Effectively communicate with both the MDT and families, providing support and assistance while maintaining confidentiality.
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment for the children, young people, and families during their time on Rudham.
- Once assessed as competent, independently undertake clinical observations, reporting any concerns to the registered nurse.
