Bank Healthcare Assistant | Harpenden | Wards | 25 hours per week | Required to work days/Nights/Weekends
Spire Harpenden Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their ward department on a part-time contract (25 hours per week). The successful applicant will work in a team that provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a surgical setting to facilitate smooth and efficient patient pathways.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high-quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients.
- Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person.

Who We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a hospital environment.
- Theatre/minor ops experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures, and patient observations (Desirable).
- Good teamwork ethic.
- Enthusiastic and energetic professional.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care / Care Certificate / NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential.
Shifts
- Long days & Nights
- You must be able to work any shifts Monday to Sunday.
