Healthcare Development Manager Smoking & Vaping Cessation Field-based | Hybrid Working
Territories: North East & East Midlands
Help Shape Smoking Cessation Services Across the NHS
Are you committed to improving population health, reducing health inequalities, and driving meaningful change across the healthcare system? We are looking for a Healthcare Development Manager to support the development of smoking and vaping cessation services across the NHS.
This is a highly visible role combining market access, stakeholder engagement, service development, account management, and healthcare education to improve patient access to evidence-based smoking cessation interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic territory and account plans aligned to business and healthcare objectives.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across secondary care, ICSs, ICBs, NHS Trusts, Public Health teams, commissioners, and community services.
- Support the development and implementation of smoking cessation and tobacco dependency pathways.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient access, service delivery, and treatment adoption.
- Deliver educational programmes, workshops, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.
- Analyse healthcare data and local priorities to identify opportunities and inform account strategy.
- Gather and share market insights, policy developments, and best practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical, analytics, and compliance.
- Support healthcare organisations in translating national guidance into local practice.

About You
You will bring a strong understanding of the NHS together with the ability to engage, influence, and develop long-term partnerships across complex healthcare systems.
Essential Requirements
- ABPI qualified.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare services, public health, or a related healthcare environment.
- Experience engaging and influencing healthcare professionals and healthcare decision-makers.
- Experience working with NHS stakeholders, including secondary care, ICSs, ICBs, commissioners, NHS Trusts, or Public Health organisations.
- Strong account management, stakeholder engagement, and territory planning skills.
- Ability to analyse healthcare data and identify service development opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational, project management, and digital engagement capabilities.
