Healthcare Practitioner - Nurse, UK

PIP Nurse Assessor – Hybrid Role

This role focuses on:

  • Conducting clinical reviews for PIP referrals
  • Providing case managers with advice on complaints and enquiries
  • Addressing customer, representative (including welfare rights groups & MPs), and DWP concerns
  • Offering outcomes and feedback on complaints about healthcare professionals for professional development and business improvements

About the Role (PIP Nurse Assessor – Hybrid)

Location: Newcastle Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:00 Salary: £39,500 (-Offered as part of our ethos: "Do good. Be great as a nurse.")

The Opportunity

As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will:

  • Use your clinical expertise to assess how disability or health conditions impact daily life
  • Work with complex cases involving physical health conditions, mental health, and chronic pain disorders
  • Apply your compassionate and clinical experience to guide customers positively.

Essential Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

✔ Valid NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) registration number ✔ At least 1 year of post-registration experience in adult or mental health nursing (including NHS or non-NHS settings) ✔ Must have the legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available for visas) ✔ Excellent oral and written communication skills for case discussions and reporting

Technical Competencies

✔ Comfortable using computer-based software to produce detailed reports
