Healthcare Science Assistant - Sleep Physiology

Healthcare Science Assistant - Sleep Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 9 month fixed term contract or secondment for a Healthcare Science Assistant to join the team in the Sleep Service, Trafford General Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The Sleep Service Department Assistant will work as part of the Sleep Physiology team, providing an efficient, high quality and patient focused Sleep service. You will aid qualified staff before, during and after sleep studies are undertaken in the department and give the necessary direct care as required to the patient throughout their sleep care pathway.

Main Duties

  • Support patients and carry out clinical observations during overnight sleep studies.
  • Work collaboratively with others to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the respiratory and sleep physiology service.

Continuous Professional Development

Continuous professional development is strongly encouraged to further develop your skills and knowledge. This will include support to attend relevant professional courses and conferences. There will also be excellent opportunities to gain additional experience and build on new skills.
