Cardiac Physiologist – Band 5 (Newly Qualified Or Experienced)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly and forward-thinking Cardiology team. This opportunity is open to both newly qualified practitioners and those already working at Band 5 who are keen to develop their skills further.

Our busy Cardiology Department delivers a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive investigations, offering you excellent exposure and variety. You’ll be actively supported through a personal development programme, with encouragement to broaden your competencies and progress your career.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be a team player with proven skills in ECG recording and rhythm recognition, alongside a good working understanding of echocardiography, pacing and catheter laboratory procedures. You’ll be patient-focused, adaptable, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

If you’re passionate about cardiac physiology and looking to grow within a supportive, high-quality service, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the day-to-day clinical and operational delivery of both invasive and non-invasive cardiology services, helping to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. Alongside delivering clinical activity, you’ll provide support to colleagues and play an important role in the smooth running of a complex and specialist cardiology service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
