Role Description
The Healthcare Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Blackburn with Darwen Area. This role involves delivering direct patient care, including initial assessments, routine checks, and support with ongoing treatment plans under appropriate clinical guidance. The Healthcare Specialist collaborates with medical teams to coordinate care, document clinical information accurately, and ensure adherence to healthcare protocols and safety standards.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Communicating with patients and families
- Providing education on treatment and preventive care
- Responding to urgent needs in a timely and professional manner

- Participating in training activities
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications
- Clinical and emergency care skills, including EMT experience and a strong foundation in medicine.
- Clear and effective communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Healthcare knowledge and experience working in clinical or patient-facing settings.
- Ability to participate in and deliver training related to clinical procedures, safety, and patient care.
- Relevant healthcare certifications or licenses appropriate to the role; EMT or similar qualifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Blackburn with Darwen Area, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to clinical and regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory, and patient-centered care.
