Role 1: Senior Healthcare Assistant – Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit
Location: Princess Anne Hospital
Hours: 20 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small, friendly, and dedicated team at the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-class support to outpatients and inpatients while ensuring compliance with waiting time standards.
- Work closely with nursing staff to assess and advise women experiencing early pregnancy complications (up to 19+6 weeks) and acute gynaecological concerns.
- Support patient, relative, and carer needs while collaborating with internal and external agencies across UHS.
- Deliver a comprehensive outpatient service with flexible working hours (Monday to Saturday, 8:30AM–7:00PM).
Ideal Candidate:
- Part-time, adaptable team member with empathy and strong communication skills.
Role 2: Healthcare Support Worker – Pre-Assessment Team
Location: Princess Anne Hospital (Women and Newborn Care Group)
Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time), with potential weekend opportunities

Responsibilities
- Support patient triaging and pre-operative assessments through health questionnaire evaluations.
- Collaborate with Nurse-Led Pre-Assessment teams and anaesthetists.
- Ensure patients receive smooth, high-quality support from pathway entry to surgical procedure.
- Attend clinic hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–5:00PM).

Essential Criteria
✔ Core qualifications:
- Completed Care Certificate (or ability to complete within 6 months)
- Qualifications permitting NVQ Level 3 Healthcare Assistant equivalent
- Secondary education qualification (typically GCSEs)
