Position: Experienced Band 3 (Variable Hours) – Health Care Support Worker Location: NHS Borders Outpatient Department, Borders General Hospital
NHS Borders Outpatient Department delivers specialist clinics across 26 specialties across three distinct outpatient areas at Borders General Hospital. An opportunity has arisen within our team for a motivated Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to provide unsupervised safe and effective care in the outpatient setting.
You will:
- Provide clinical and non-clinical support within this high-demandbut rewarding environment
- Work under direct clinical supervision of Consultants and Specialist Nurses
- Ensure care delivery adheres to the highest standards
- Embrace flexibility and leveraged resourcefulness to optimise patient care

Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of high-quality unsupervised care within regulator and safegyദ്ദേഹnostandards
- Direct support for outpatient consultations across multiple specialties
- Assisting in clinical documentation with accuracy and adherence to NHS protocols
- Collaborating effectively with international multi-disciplinary teams
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations
Requirements
Eligibility to Work in the UK It is essential, due to legal UK employment requirements, that applicants:
