Your new company
A local authority that is looking to appoint an experienced Heat Network & Metering Specialist on an interim basis to lead a key compliance and strategy programme ahead of the January 2027 Heat Metering regulations deadline.
Your new role
This role will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance across the council's heat networks and sheltered housing schemes, including:
- Providing expert guidance on Heat Metering regulations and compliance requirements
- Developing metering policies, procedures, and strategies
- Advising on the suitability of metering solutions across different property types
- Establishing reporting processes in line with Ofgem requirements
- Leading tenant engagement activities and managing the impact of regulatory changes on residents
- Overseeing procurement activities, contractual requirements, and ongoing contract management

What you'll need to succeed
Looking for someone with a strong understanding of heat networks, metering regulations, compliance frameworks, and stakeholder engagement, coupled with experience developing policy and operational strategies within a housing and local authority.
What you'll get in return
This is a minimum 6-month contract, at least till the end of January 2027, with potential of extension. It is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact, especially within social housing.
