Heat Pump Lead – Domestic Installation Engineering

Fuse Energy, UK

About the Role

At Fuse Energy, we’re pioneering a fully integrated clean energy system—scaling solar and wind projects, real-time power trading, and domestic heat pump installations to bring energy to consumers at lower costs. We’re on a mission to deliver a terawatt of clean energy globally, and we need a seasoned Heat Pump Lead to scale our domestic heat pump operations in the UK.

As our Heat Pump Lead, you’ll:

  • Lead and scale our domestic heat pump installation team
  • Act as the technical authority for high-quality, compliant heat pump installations
  • Design and size heating systems, ensuring precise engineering decisions for every property
  • Oversee installations, electrical scope, and MCS compliance, fostering technical excellence and a culture of safety

This is an opportunity to shape the future of UK clean heating, own our accreditation strategy, and mentor the next generation of trainers in our growing fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Operations & Management

    • Lead and manage UK heat pump installation operations, supervising both junior and senior field engineers
    • Exist as the primary technical escalation point for complex domestic heat pump installations
    • Own the engineering team’s structure, scaling field operations while maintaining quality
  • Technical Leadership

    • Ensure heating system design and sizing meets every property’s needs, including:
      • Heat loss calculations
      • Correct selection of air-source heat pumps, pipework, radiators/emitters, and hot water cylinders
      • Compliance with manufacturer specs and UK regulations
    • Oversee installations and commissioning, aligning with MCS standards, health & safety protocols, and electrical certification (EIC)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
