Heating Engineer
Gas Engineer – Domestic Heating & Hot Water Systems
About the Role

We play a key role in decarbonisation, ensuring safe, efficient systems for customers, employees, residents, and the environment.
Sureserve Compliance Central, a national company, offers market-leading heating & hot water solutions from regional offices across the East of England & Midlands. We seek an experienced gas engineer to maintain, repair, and service domestic heating and hot water systems.
The primary responsibility of the Heating Engineer is to ensure heating & hot water systems are safe, efficient, and compliant, while delivering high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service and maintenance works on domestic properties across the region
- Provide high levels of customer care, maintaining strong relationships with clients & tenants
- Communicate updates and progress, completing required electronic and manual paperwork
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, including:
- Risk Assessments
- Safe Systems of Work
- COSHH Records
- Comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure parts availability for job requirements

Key Skills & Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Mandatory gas engineering qualifications, including:
- CCN1
- CENWAT
- HTR1
- CKR1
Experience & Attributes
- Experience carrying out domestic heating and hot water servicing & repairs
- Friendly and professional attitude with strong relationship-building skills
- Willingness to work evenings & weekends on a call-out rota basis

- Criminal and reference checks prior to starting
Working Hours
- Standard hours: 5 days per week (Mon–Fri), 8am–5pm (40 hrs), with 1-hour lunch break
- Additional duties: Must attend call-out rota for evenings & weekends
