About the Role

Sureserve Compliance Central is seeking an experienced gas engineer to join our team, tasked with servicing and repairing domestic heating and hot water systems across our clients' properties.

Overview of the Role

As a Heating Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain and repair heating systems in our clients’ properties.
  • Ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
  • Deliver repairs timely and with high quality, meeting customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region.
  • Provide high-quality customer care when interacting with clients and tenants.
  • Communicate updates and progress of work, completing required paperwork (both electronic and manual).
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements, including:
    • Risk assessments
    • Safe Systems of Work
    • COSHH records
  • Comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures, ensuring parts are available to meet job requirements.

Essential Requirements & Attributes

  • Gas qualifications essential (minimum):
    • CCN1
    • CENWAT
    • HTR1
    • CKR1
  • Experience working in out-of-hours evening and weekend shifts (on a rota basis).
  • Professional and friendly attitude to foster strong client/tenant relationships.
  • Pre-employment commitments:
    • Criminal and reference checks (mandatory before starting).

Working Hours & Arrangements

  • Standard working hours:
    • 5 days a week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
    • 40 hours per week
    • 1-hour paid lunch break daily
  • Call out duty:
    • Weekend and evening shifts (as required via a rota system).
