We are Sureserve Compliance Central
We are a national company specialising in heating & hot water solutions, operating from regional offices across the East of England and Midlands. Our strategic locations enable comprehensive coverage and unrestricted access to clients.
We are seeking an experienced gas engineer to join our team, performing service, repair, and maintenance on domestic heating and hot water systems for our clients.
Overview of the Role
The primary role of the Heating Engineer will be to:
- Maintain and repair heating systems in residential properties.
- Ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and quickly.
- Deliver customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair a variety of domestic heating and hot water systems across the region.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport with clients and tenants to meet quality standards.
- Document work progress via electronic and manual records.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations, including:
- Risk Assessments
- Safe Systems of Work
- COSHH Records
- Order and audit engineering stock, ensuring parts are available for job completion.
Key Attributes & Requirements
[Essential]
- Gas engineering qualifications as a minimum:
- CCN1
- CENWAT (Heating & Hot Water)
- HTR1 (Heating Systems Installation & Maintenance)
- CKR1 (Gas Safety & Management)
- Ability to work out-of-hours, evenings, and weekends on a rota basis.
- Professional, friendly, and personable attitude to foster strong client/tenant relationships.
- Clear criminal and reference checks completed prior to employment.
[Working Hours]
- 5 days per week (Mon - Fri) – 8:00am to 5:00pm (~40 hours)
- 1-hour daily lunch break.
- Call-out rota for evenings and weekend work.
