Heating Engineer

Gas Engineer – Sureserve Compliance Central

Role Overview: Heating Engineer

You’ll join our busy regional team in delivering service, maintenance and repairs for domestic heating and hot water systems across our client portfolio. Your focus will be on ensuring safe, efficient and timely operations that meet our high customer service standards.

  • Perform service and maintenance work across a variety of domestic properties regionally.
  • Provide exceptional customer care, building trustful relationships with clients and tenants.
  • Maintain detailed update records and complete required paperwork (electronic and paper-based).
  • Strict adherence to Health and Safety requirements, including:
    • Risk assessments
    • Safe Systems of Work
    • COSHH documentation
  • Manage stock ordering/auditing to ensure availability of parts for job completion.

Essential Requirements

  • Essential gas engineering qualifications (minimum: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1).
  • Optional, but valued: Metallic Tanknýchové or relevant domestic equipment experience.
  • On-calls for evening/weekend shifts (trial period–essential flexibility thereafter).
  • A friendly, professional and collaborative approach to build lasting client relationships.
  • right to work in the UK confirmed via eligibility checks.
  • Successful DBS checks and criminal/employment references.

Working Hours & Contract

  • Fixed core hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hrs)
  • Daily break: 1-hour lunch.
  • Call-out rota for evenings/weekends (payment applicable).
