Job Opening: Experienced Gas Engineer
Location: Nationwide (East of England & Midlands) Industry: Heating, hot water solutions for social housing
Sureserve Compliance Central is seeking an experienced gas engineer to join our dynamic team, handling service and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems for our clients.
About the Role
The Heating Engineer’s core responsibility is maintaining and repairing heating systems in our clients’ properties. You will ensure systems run efficiently and safely, completing repairs in a timely manner to uphold customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service and maintenance work across a variety of domestic properties in the region.
- Deliver high standards of customer care when engaging with clients and tenants.
- Communicate work progress updates (electronic and manual paperwork).
- Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including:
- Risk assessments
- Safe working systems
- COSHH records
- Uphold stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure parts are available for job requirements.
Essential Attributes & Requirements
- Gas engineering qualifications, including as a minimum:
- CCN1
- CENWAT
- HTR1
- CKR1
- Flexibility to cover evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
- A friendly, professional demeanour to build strong client and tenant relationships.
- Evidence of passed criminal and reference checks.
- Working hours:
- Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (full-time, 40 hours)
- Additional flexibilty: Hour for daily lunch, call-out rota for evenings/wkend shifts.
