Heavy Plant Engineer
We are currently looking for an experienced Plant Fitters to join our team at Ridgway.
- Permanent position
- Full Time
- Salary will be dependent on the successful applicant’s experience.
Ridgway Rentals is a family-owned and run Plant Hire Company and this position is based at our head office in St Martins, Shropshire – postcode SY11 3PZ
This full-time role will involve the maintenance and servicing of heavy plant machinery in our workshop.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintenance and fitting duties on a wide range of Plant Machinery
- Carry out mechanical repairs as required
- Follow instructions as directed
- Keep accurate records as directed
- Liaising and working with outside contract fitting staff
- Aid with the safe operation of the work area
- Comply fully with company health & safety procedures
- Follow work practices and instructions as directed

Our Plant Hire Fleet consists of hydraulic excavators, dozers, dump trucks and other heavy plant machinery by Komatsu, JCB, Hitachi etc.

Our Plant Hire Fleet ranges from 1.5 ton Mini Diggers up to 50 Ton Excavators and include Long Reach, High Reach, Loading Shovels, Telehandlers, Backhoes, Dumpers, Rollers, Dump trucks, Dozers, which are all delivered nationwide along with the many different attachments as required.
