I'm currently representing a leading international banking group with a significant presence across global markets, looking to hire a Senior Credit Manager to join its Counterparty Credit Risk team covering Hedge Funds and Real Money Funds across EMEA.

This is a highly visible role, sitting within a well-established global credit platform, where you'll be responsible for the underwriting, approval, and ongoing monitoring of sophisticated institutional clients. The position offers extensive interaction with Front Office teams, senior stakeholders, and fund management clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead due diligence meetings and credit assessments for Hedge Funds and Real Money Funds.
  • Underwrite new counterparties and support the onboarding process.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures against approved limits, risk triggers, and appetite metrics.
  • Analyse stress testing results and identify emerging credit risks.
  • Review and approve credit risk exposures within delegated authority levels.
  • Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and escalate material risks where appropriate.
  • Partner closely with trading, sales, legal, and risk teams to support client activity.
  • Contribute to improving underwriting quality, risk frameworks, and operational efficiency within the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
