We are seeking a Height Safety Supervisor to lead our field teams, ensuring quality, safety, and flawless delivery of planned and reactive height safety works across diverse client portfolios.
This role is far more than supervision—it’s about leading with energy, accountability, and resilience to advance our mission of saving lives through fire and height safety, setting the highest standards for your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Height Safety Engineers on both planned and reactive workloads.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of height safety inspections, installations, and maintenance, including:
- Horizontal lifelines
- Anchor points
- Fall arrest systems
- Ensure all works comply with industry standards, Risk Assessments (RAMS), and Harmony’s health & safety policies.
- Conduct site quality audits and root-cause analysis for non-conformances, implementing corrective actions.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for field engineers, ensuring:
- Method statements and risk assessments are adhered to
- Safe working practices are consistently applied
- Collaborate with the team scheduler on:
- Workload planning
- Site logistics
- Emergency remedial bookings
- Assist in preparing and maintaining:
- Service records
- Asset registers
- Quotations
- Develop and mentor team members through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Rotate on the out-of-hours emergency callout roster as required.
- Engage professionally and proactively with project managers and clients.

Key Requirements
Experience & Mindset
✅ The high-performance mindset needed to thrive in a fast-paced, standard-driven environment—“doing things properly the first time”. ✅ Proven experience in height safety installation, inspection, or maintenance, with previous supervisory experience preferred. ✅ Strong subject-matter expertise in horizontal lifelines, anchor systems, rope access, and fall arrest equipment. ✅ Full UK driving licence.
Certifications
✅ Relevant height safety certifications such as:
- IRATA
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Working at Height qualifications ✅ Broad engineering background in mechanical, electrical, or fire protection services (preferable).
Skills
✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). ✅ Exceptional stakeholder management skills:
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Confident client communication ✅ Strong juggling multiple priorities while maintaining deadlines. ✅ Ability to plan, organise, and execute workflows efficiently.
