Helpdesk Operator (Part-Time)

Location: Torness Nuclear Power Station

Hours: Part-Time (Thursday & Friday, 08:00am – 4:30pm)

Salary: Competitive

Dalkia UK is seeking a professional, organised, and proactive Helpdesk Operator to join our team at Torness Nuclear Power Station. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a busy, professional site environment, supporting the delivery of essential facilities management services.

As Helpdesk Operator, you will be responsible for managing helpdesk requests, coordinating planned and reactive works, and ensuring tasks are effectively logged, scheduled, and monitored across the station. Your role will be vital in maintaining efficient communication between clients, supervisors, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming work requests via the Helpdesk telephone line.
  • Log, prioritise, and distribute work requests through the CAFM system in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate reactive maintenance activities with clients, supervisors, and operational teams.
  • Prepare and manage weekly work order packages in accordance with Work Management processes.
  • Analyse CAFM system data and produce reports to support operational performance.
  • Provide administrative support during statutory maintenance outages as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the Work Services Manager.

About You

We're looking for an individual who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident and professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experienced in administration, reception, scheduling, helpdesk, or office support roles.

Previous experience within an administrative role, HR environment, facilities management, or a regulated industrial setting would be advantageous, but is not essential.
