Job Title: HEOR Manager

Location: Reading, UK
Working Arrangements: Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site in Reading and 2 days remote

About The Job

As a HEOR Manager, you will be working under the guidance of the Market Access Lead to shape and develop compelling health economic and outcomes evidence that optimises patient access to Sanofi's innovative products across the UK and Ireland. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful HEOR solutions that underpin an integrated market access strategy - playing a pivotal role in ensuring patients can benefit from the treatments they need.

  • In General Medicines, you'll help drive meaningful outcomes in diabetes, transplant, and immunology — with the scale and urgency patients deserve.
  • In Specialty Care, you'll contribute to breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients living with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions — some of the highest unmet needs in healthcare today.
  • In Vaccines, you'll help prevent disease and protect the population through innovative immunizations. From childhood vaccines to emerging health solutions, you'll contribute to a key growth area where breakthrough science makes a global impact.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develops submissions for new products or new indications to HTA organisations

    • Maintains up to date knowledge of UK/IE HTA guidelines and processes and keeps abreast of HTA developments to ensure that the most suitable methods are employed.
    • Collaborates with internal functions such as the commercial and medical teams on development of the submission and submission strategy.
    • Project manage the submission and response process and ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of progress (internal and external).
    • Manage external vendors as required.
  2. Generates HEOR evidence that demonstrates the value of Sanofi products and ensures optimal access for patients.

    • Conduct landscape and gap analyses to support the development of an integrated evidence generation plan.
    • Work closely alongside Medical teams, field-based colleagues, and the Global HEVA/market access team in developing/evolving the evidence base/value messages for products to meet the needs of the UK/IE market.
    • Conducts high quality, timely evidence generation to support access to Sanofi’s portfolio.
    • Provide input into global evidence generation projects to ensure outputs will meet UK/IE needs.
    • Collaborates with brand team to secure resource for proposed HEOR projects.
    • Ensures all evidence generation is conducted in line with Sanofi policy and SOPs.

  1. Collaborates with new product planning team and global teams to formulate early UK/IE plans for pipeline assets

    • Uses expertise to inform UK assessment of pipeline assets
    • Supports development of early evidence generation plans.
    • Collaborates with global team on early scientific advice projects
  2. Management of Resources

    • Adheres to company-defined processes for the selection of and agreement of commercial terms with vendors.
    • Understands and uses internal procedures and tools to ensure the compliant and efficient operation of the “Purchase to Pay” process.
  3. Ethical Leadership

    • Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (including the Industry Code of Practice, Sanofi Policies and Procedures, and any relevant legal requirements); and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.
    • Escalates any decisions, or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role.

About You

  • A higher-level degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, or Evidence-Based Medicine.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively at all levels, and present complex information in a clear and accessible way.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver on time.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, consultancy, or academia within Health Outcomes, Health Economics, or Evidence-Based Medicine.
  • Practical experience developing evidence to support value-based arguments and inform commercial decision-making.
  • A good understanding of the UK healthcare system, the JCVI/UKHSA, market access landscape, and how to navigate HTA processes.
  • Familiarity with industry codes of practice and their application in a business setting.

For the Medicines role: Prior direct HEOR experience and HTA submissions are preferred.
