Role Description
The Heritage Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Penkridge, responsible for overseeing conservation and repair projects for listed buildings and historic estates. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project timelines, managing contractors and craftspeople, and ensuring work complies with heritage and listed building requirements. The role involves liaising with property owners, local authorities, and heritage bodies to secure necessary consents and approvals, while providing clear guidance on repair and replacement decisions. The Heritage Project Manager will monitor site activities, conduct inspections, manage logistics for materials and equipment, and maintain accurate project records and reporting. The position requires balancing conservation priorities with practical construction needs, budget constraints, and long-term usability of the properties.

- Candidates should possess experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and delivery of construction or heritage projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Expeditor and Expediting activities to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and coordination of materials and services.
- Candidates should possess Inspection experience, with the ability to assess site work for quality, safety, and compliance with heritage and listed building standards.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to handle scheduling, resource allocation, and site operations efficiently.
- Relevant experience in heritage conservation, listed building regulations, or traditional construction methods is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with owners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and to maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- A relevant qualification in construction management, heritage conservation, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
