Driver Provider UK - HGV Class 1 Clean Water Tanker (12-Hour Shifts & Tramping)

Job Purpose

To safely transport and deliver potable (clean) water across regional and national locations while working 10-12 hour shifts and tramping away from home when required. The role involves operating an HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) articulated clean water tanker, maintaining the highest standards of road safety, customer service, and potable water hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) clean water tanker in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
  • Complete daily walk-around vehicle inspections, reporting any defects before and after each shift.
  • Load, transport, and discharge potable water using tanker pumps, hoses, valves, and associated equipment.
  • Deliver clean drinking water to treatment works, reservoirs, construction sites, utilities, emergency water supply locations, and commercial customers.
  • Follow strict potable water hygiene procedures to prevent contamination during loading, transportation, and discharge.

Pay

  • Days: £17.93 per hour - £19.05
  • Nights: £18.00 - £20.17 per hour
  • Saturday: £18.00 - £20.17 per hour
  • Sunday / BH: £19.00 - 21.29 per hour
