Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Pay Rate: From £15 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Class 2 Driver Required
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (HGV 2) Driver on behalf of our client based in Shrewsbury.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering long-term stability with a reputable local business. The role combines Class 2 driving duties with a significant amount of manual handling and handballing, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out heavy lifting throughout the working day.

Duties Include
- Operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and efficiently
- Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Heavy lifting and handballing of goods
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
- Complying with all transport legislation, driver hours, and health & safety procedures
- Providing excellent customer service when making deliveries
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
- A good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
- A reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication skills
- The ability to undertake physically demanding work and heavy manual handling duties
