Pay & Earning Potential
- 38-hour working week
- Overtime and 6th-day premiums (including extra shift pay for Monday work)
- Bank holidays included in pay schedule for eligible shifts
- As a fledged driver, you could earn £38,500+ (OTE, gross per year). Additional hours and performance could significantly increase earnings.
Main Responsibilities
- Depot duties:
- Loading & securing all goods/set aside cages
- Verifying documentation (waybills, delivery notes) before departure
- Delivery execution:
- Ensuring timely, high-quality deliveries at agreed locations
- Signing final delivery paperwork upon completion
- Returns & accountability:
- Collecting product returns and recording within system
- Vehicle upkeep:
- Performing daily checks (water, oil, fuel) and hygiene duties
- Managing cage accountability
Requirements & Preferred Qualities
Essential Criteria
✅ A valid UK/Rome II HGV Category C licence (Class 2) ✅ Current Driver CPC (Adequate to remain current for MDT Routine Checks) ✅ Digital Tachograph Card in possession ✅ Familiarity with Northern Ireland road network points of interest ✅ Ability to provide exceptional customer service

Desirable Criteria (Bonus Points!)
🔹 Prior HGV Class 2 driving experience 🔹 Experience in multi-drop/collection routes (if within food sector) 🔹 Refrigeration/cooler vehicle familiarity (clear knowledge of safe handling) 🔹 Familiarity with tail-lift operations
Core Working Hours
- 5 Days per Week (Job to Finish): Tuesday–Saturday
- Every other Monday: 6th-day commitment as rotating weekday coverage
- Core hours: 38 hours per week (shift start times: 4am-5am)
