The company provides professional services such as CCTV drainage reporting, UV drain relining, and Jet Vac tanker support, available 24/7. Using modern equipment and techniques, Clearway often resolves blocked drains without disruptive excavation. The team works closely with clients and insurers to deliver compliant repair work, offering practical advice throughout the process. As fully licensed liquid waste carriers, Clearway manages the safe collection and disposal of a wide range of business waste products, including food waste, sludges, solvents, and grease.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for HGV 2 Operators based in the Kingston upon Hull. The role involves operating HGV Class 2 vehicles for drainage and liquid waste services, including attending customer sites, performing Jet Vac and tanker operations, and supporting CCTV and repair crews.

Responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Safely loading, transporting, and unloading liquid waste
- Drain cleansing using HPWJ methods following job sheets
- Completing necessary service documentation
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks, reporting any defects
- Adhering to company safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Working as part of a field team
- Interacting professionally with customers
- Responding to planned and emergency call-outs as required
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence, with a good driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles.
- CPC qualification and understanding of drivers’ hours, tachograph use, and relevant transport regulations.
- Experience in drainage, waste management, tanker operations, or related environmental services is beneficial.
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards, including safe handling and transport of liquid waste.
- Ability to follow job instructions, complete paperwork accurately, and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
- Willingness to work on-site in varied conditions, undertake occasional overtime or call-outs, and perform manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, safety-conscious approach with strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required.
- Right to work in the UK; additional industry training or certifications (e.g., confined space, WJA, CSCS) are an advantage.
