Job Description
We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our chilled distribution operation based in Evesham. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who want a structured 4 on 4 off shift pattern, regular work and the chance to be part of a busy, established transport operation delivering to major retail distribution centres across the UK.
This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.
Shift Patterns Available
- 4 on 4 off Night Shifts (Start times between 23:00 and 01:00)
- Average shifts are around 11 hours, depending on route and operational requirements, and additional shifts may be available for drivers who want to increase their earnings.
Pay Rates
- Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with basic salaries for 4 on 4 off circa £38-39k per annum plus opportunity for overtime for additional OTE.
- Our drivers are paid per shift, with the following night shift rates:
- Monday to Friday: £197.81 per shift
- Saturday and Sunday: £221.09 per shift
- You’ll also receive a £5 daily meal allowance, with Double Decker and disturbance allowances paid where applicable.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out chilled distribution deliveries to main retail RDCs nationwide
- Delivering to key customer sites including major UK retailers
- Completing self-tip deliveries where required, including breaking down pallets at certain sites.
- Collecting equipment or returns from customer locations and bringing them back to site.
- Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
- Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
- Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid C+E Licence.
- Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
- Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Drivers should live within a reasonable commute of Evesham, ideally within around 45 minutes of site.
- No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
- Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
- Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
