Night Shift
Location – Shepton Mallet BA4
Salary - £18.00 per hour
Shift pattern/days worked – 18.30 starts Monday - Friday.
We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing night shifts.
The role is HGV 1 night trunking role collecting palletised goods for delivery the next day.
Key Tasks
- Trunk run on behalf of the Pallet Ex
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Supervise the loading of palletised goods
- Plan route making sure pallets are strapped down correctly
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years minimum experience
- Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
