PrimeFlight Cargo Airside Transport Team Opportunity

PrimeFlight Cargo is expanding its airside transport team at London Heathrow Airport and is looking for professional HGV Class 1 drivers who want a stable, well-paid role in a secure aviation environment. This is an opportunity to step into a specialist driving role—operating airside, working directly with aircraft, and becoming part of a highly regulated, safety-critical operation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Shift Pattern: Work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern as part of a team on a rotating shift pattern reporting to the Cargo Coordinator
  • Delivering and Collecting Airfreight: Directly to and from aircraft
  • Operating Class 1 Vehicles: In an airside environment at Heathrow
  • Compliance: Working to strict aviation, security, and road transport standards
  • Ensuring Safety: Loads are secure, paperwork is accurate, and procedures are followed
  • Professional Representation: Representing PrimeFlight professionally at one of the world’s busiest airports

Drivers report to the cargo coordinator to receive work at their start time either 6am or 7am. Generally, drivers will service our 2 Japanese carriers Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airlines remaining customer focused and diligent in order to meet the fast-paced environment of Heathrow Airport.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
