£18.00 per hour
Shift Pattern
- Workdays: Monday – Friday
- Shift times: 18.30 start (night shifts)
About the Role
We are seeking qualified and experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a permanent Monday–Friday night shift role. This overnight trunking operation involves collecting palletised goods for next-day delivery on behalf of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trunk runs transporting goods for Pallet Ex and other clients
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods/materials to designated depots
- Supervise the loading of palletised goods with attention to security
- Plan routes, ensuring pallets are securely strapped down
- Adhere to all traffic laws and HGV regulations
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and routine maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Deliveries completed
- Mileage log
- Fuel consumption
- Coordinate deliveries with dispatchers, customers and team members

Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- At least 2 years’ experience as a truck driver
- Proven multi-drop experience handling palletised goods
- Ability to safely operate and maintain various trucks and trailers
- Strong time management skills with a proven track record for deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
