HGV Class 1 Container Day Drivers Needed – Felixstowe (Ongoing Roles)
Currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Container Day Drivers for continuous work based in Felixstowe.
Responsibilities
- Safely and competently operate commercial vehicles (HGV Class 1) in line with company standards
- Plan and optimise routes to ensure efficient deliveries
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to maintain compliance and safety
- Secure and manage loads, including containers, ensuring proper stowage and security
- Maintain delivery documentation and logbooks accurately and promptly
- Strictly adhere to health and safety laws, DSV regulate IT, DRIVE CPC requirements, and company policies
- Provide assistance with loading/unloading where required
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness between shifts
- Report any maintenance issues to the relevant team

Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV driver (Class 1 preferred, container experience essential)
- Valid HGV licence (Class 1/Class 2)
- Routine CPC hours maintained
- Strong knowledge of route management and time-efficient driving techniques
- Ability to work unaccompanied with minimal supervision
- Dry hire or experience working across different trailer types (cardboard, refrigerated, etc.)
- Willingness to undergo company-specific training (if required)

Salary & Benefits
- Hourly rate: £17.00–£21.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
