HGV Class 1 Container Day Drivers – Felixstowe (Ongoing)
About the Role
We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Container Day Drivers to join our team on ongoing work in Felixstowe. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods across varied routes, ensuring timely and punctual arrivals
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to legal driving hours and strict safety standards
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report any faults, and maintain high vehicle cleanliness
- Comply with all loading/unloading procedures, securing cargo properly at all times
- Keep accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Strict adherence to road safety laws and all company policies during transportation operations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professionalism and reliability

Requirements
Essential:
- Valid GB HGV license (Class 1)
- Up-to-date CPC Driver Card & Driver Qualification (DQC)
- Proven experience in container handling and route planning
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and safe vehicle operation
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain regulatory compliance

- Experience in Felixstowe or East Anglia logistics hubs (advantageous but not mandatory)
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: £17.00 – £21.00 per hour
