HGV Class 1 Driver
About the Role
- Class 1 Multi-Drop Drivers (Store Deliveries)
- Overtime opportunities available
- Fully funded CPC training hours provided
We are recruiting for Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers’ stores.
Responsibilities

This position requires handball and manual work, which can be physically demanding, including working outside in adverse weather conditions and handballing product at some of the delivery points.

Rotating shift pattern (Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday):
- 5 days × 9.6 hours = 48 hours
- Start times: 10:00 - 13:00

Responsible for:
- The safe delivery of stock to 198 cash and carry stores
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery
- Maintaining the vehicle in good condition at the start and end of each shift
- Operating autonomously as well as cooperatively within the wider transport team
Requirements
- Class 1 Licence Holder
- Driver CPC Holder
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Experience of multi-drop; temperature-controlled food deliveries preferable but not essential
- Daily route variation means applicants must be flexible in work and hours (including at short notice)
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid C+E Licence (experienced drivers for Class 1 vehicle preferred but not essential)
- CPC qualification required to be considered for this role
- 6 or fewer points on driving licence
- Applicantsymi** ‘Careless Driving’, prosecution for mobile phone use, drink-driving, or failure to comply with Construction of Vehicle Regulations
