HGV Class 1 Tramper
HGV Class 1 Tramper / Day Driver
James Kemball is seeking a qualified HGV Class 1 Tramper/day driver to join their team. This role involves responsibly and efficiently delivering containers across the UK.
Will consider new drivers with the right qualifications.
Salary: £37,998 (Salary quoted excludes overtime and performance-related bonus. Weekend working available)
About You
- First-time drivers: Applications welcome with suitable mitigating experience
- Industry advantage: 2 years' experience handling containers with skeletal trailers
- Port experience: Familiarity with working at ports including Felixstowe, LGW, and Tilbury
- Licences and certifications:
- Valid Class 1 C+E HGV licence
- Current DQC (Driver Qualification Card)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR certificate (Not essential but preferred—training can be provided)
- ** certification (if applicable):** Advantageous
- Safety and operational: Strong knowledge of safe working practices and manual handling procedures
- Communication: Clear, confident verbal and written skills
- Personality: Collaborative, proactive, positive attitude
